Funding

• FlyMine until February 2009
• Current grant application: medMine. Good reviews!
• InterMine for yeast, rat and zebrafish model organisms

InterMine releases

New grant application has specific aims to support and promote InterMine.

• releases not concurrent with FlyMine releases
• less frequent, more stable releases: ~ every 3 months
• we will support a core set of parsers for multiple organisms
  • parsers will be easily configurable to add more organisms
• upgrade path between releases
• public bug tracking system - list functionality for next release

'First' stable release

An InterMine '1.0' release will be made in January 2009.

• refactoring code, fix some 'features'
• performance improvements (e.g. export speed)
• parser improvements
• additional query functionality
• focus on simplifying setup and performance
